Artist Reception Tomorrow at Lowe Park Posted 4 February 2009 The Marion Arts Council will host a "Meet the Artists" reception tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 5, from 7 until 8 p.m. at the Lowe Park Arts and Environment Center, 4500 North 10th Street, Marion. Light refreshments will be served. The event will showcase local artists Gae Sharp-Richardson and Karen Hoyt and celebrate their current exhibit "Converging Paths" on display now through March 20. Their exhibition contains artwork from their past, several joint projects, and a glimpse into their unique approaches to artistic learning and self-expression. Their hope is for viewers to walk away inspired to live their own lives more authentically and creatively.  The Marion School Gallery will be also exhibiting student artwork from Bowman Woods this month. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 1 to 3 p.m.
