Beauregard Appointed Palo Mayor Pro Tem Posted 16 July 2008 Jeff Beauregard has been appointed Mayor Pro Tempore of Palo after the resignation of former Mayor Terry Sanders late last month. Members of the Palo City Council made the appointment Monday, July 14, at their regular council meeting. Sanders resigned June 30. She was in Texas with family during the recent flooding and felt it would take too much time for other city leaders to bring her up to speed with the city's situation. Sanders indicated it may be best for the city to have a mayor who was present during the disaster. Sanders started her term as mayor of Palo last November.
