Severe Storms in Area Again Posted 12 July 2008 Severe storms crossed Eastern Iowa again early this morning, Saturday, July 12, as a cold front swept through the area. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch was issued for the area late Friday evening. By 2 a.m., several Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were posted for Buchanan, Delaware, Dubuque, Jones and Linn counties. The storms brought heavy winds, rain and strong lightning. Most of the worst weather had moved through the region by 4 a.m. this morning.
