Music in Libraries Today
Posted 12 July 2008
Two free "Chamber Music Now!" concerts will be held today, Saturday, June 12, in local libraries. The concerts will feature tuneful early 19th-century and modern chamber music by Jewish composers.

Linn-Mar High School students violist Alyssa Roggow, violinist Madeline Krych and cellist Blake Tchon will join Red Cedar Chamber Music flutist Jan Boland and guitarist John Dowdall.

Red Cedar’s "Chamber Music Now!" program gives exceptionally talented high school and college students an opportunity to rehearse and perform with seasoned professional musicians.

The concerts are sponsored by the James and Norma Jean Rosborough Foundation, the Giacoletto Foundation, the City of Marion and Rockwell Collins with additional support from Nancy Miller.

The following concerts, to be held today, Saturday, are free and open to the public:

12 noon - 1 p.m. Hiawatha Public Library, 150 W. William Street, Hiawatha

3 - 4 p.m. Ely Library, 1595 Dows Street, Ely
