Chamber "Adopt-A-Business" for Flood Relief Posted 9 July 2008 The Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce is spearheading an effort to match small businesses affected by recent flooding with other successful businesses who were not. It is hoped the program will help displaced businesses find everything from temporary space to technical expertise in areas such as human resources and financial planning, in addition to a healthy dose of goodwill. The program started naturally as local business had already started to help other members of the community in this fashion.
