Cascade - July 4 - Legion Park at dusk

Cedar Falls - July 4 - UNI Dome - Activities start at 5:00 p.m. Fireworks start at 10:00 p.m.

Cedar Rapids - July 4 - Kirkwood Community College Campus Fireworks start at 9:45 p.m. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. - July 4 - Veterans Memorial Stadium. Gates open at 5 p.m.

Central City - July 4 - Linn County Fairgrounds at dusk

Colesburg - July 4 - Lone Pine Country Club at 10 p.m.

Earlville - July 4 - Little League Ball Diamond - Games and activities start at 4 p.m. -  Fireworks at Dusk (rain date is July 5)

Frederika - July 4 - Fire Ball Field at dusk

Garnavillo - July 4 - Near the middle school at dusk. Fourth of July celebration Thursday and Friday at City Park. Friday events: breakfast at 7 a.m.; music at 9 a.m.; parade at 10 a.m.; Lions chicken dinner at 11 a.m.; pork producers supper at 5 p.m.; fireworks at dusk. Also food booths, water ball fight, craft booths and clowns throughout the celebration.


Harpers Ferry - July 4 - Just off the bluff at dusk

Independence - July 4 - RiverWalk Park at 10:00 p.m. A wide selection of musical entertainment, activities for people of all ages, food and drink, and fireworks over the Wapsipinicon River. For more information, visit www.celebrateindee.com


Lansing - July 4 - Sports Complex at dusk

Monticello - July 4 - Jones Co Fairgrounds at dusk. Friday activities include: 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monticello Firemen's Breakfast; parade at 11 a.m.; children's games after the parade; food from noon until dark; T.T.T. Society Fun Run for Kids at 1 p.m.; Bingo at 1 p.m.; Bill Riley Contests at 2 p.m.; Kiddie Tractor Pull at 2:30 p.m.; fireworks at dusk. All events will be held at the Berndes Center and Fairgrounds, North Maple Street, in Monticello.


Oelwein - July 4 - City Park at dusk

Oxford Junction - July 4 - Wapsie Park at dusk - activities start at 9:00 a.m. with a kids pedal tractor pull, BB gun shoot, basketball shoot, football throw, Frisbee toss, waterball fight for kids, kids games, parade, fried chicken supper, cake walk, variety show, flag ceremony.

Spillville - July 4 - 10:00 p.m. at Inwood-Pary by the Catholic Church - Dance to follow the fireworks.

Cresco - July 5 -  Howard County Fairgrounds - Demo Derby starts at 7:00 p.m. -  Fireworks start at dusk

Decorah - July 5 - Race Track after torch parade about 10:00 p.m.

Guttenberg - July 5 - Riverfront at dusk

Maquoketa - July 5 - Fairgrounds after the car races - Races start at 6:00 p.m. and should end at 10

Waterloo - July 5 - West Fourth Street & Commercial Street - 6:00 p.m.-Midnight Fireworks start at 10:00 p.m.

West Union - July 5 - West Union Rec Center at 10:00 p.m.


Monday, July 7

Manchester - July 7 - Delaware County Fairgrounds at 10 p.m.

Saturday, July 12

Quasqueton - July 12th - shot from west side of river.  Campground has good view.
