Linn County Sheriff's Department Relocates
Posted 28 June 2008
The Linn County Sheriff's Office has moved into temporary offices at 1860 County Home Rd., and starting Monday morning, June 30, will be reachable by regular office phone numbers.

After-hour requests for assistance will continue to be directed to the Marion Police Department, (319) 377-1511, which has been assisting in covering law enforcement needs of the county and community the past few weeks.

Beginning Wednesday, July 2, the department will resume some normal functions. All Financial Division activities will be available again. The office also will resume the Sex Offender Registry and will accept civil paperwork for service.

Other public services are not yet available.

The Linn County Sheriff's Department was forced to suspend many of its routine services in wake of flooding June 11-13 which inundated the department's Second Avenue SW headquarters in downtown Cedar Rapids.
