LLC’s have become an
incredibly popular way to organize a small business and much time and
effort has been spent on the pros and cons of LLC’s versus other types
of business formation. Rather than re-hash that subject here, Joseph
Leo, an attorney with BrownWinick in Des Moines, will get you prepared
for the changes in store for LLCs in 2011. A few of those changes will
make it easier to file and become an LLC. Find out the details and ask

Joseph F. Leo is an associate attorney with BrownWinick. Joe practices
mainly in the area of securities law and corporate transactions. Joe
represents business clients in various aspects of their operations,
including organization and planning, securities offerings and
compliance, and equity and debt financing.
Prior to attending law school, Joe worked for three years at the
Wisconsin Department of Commerce in the Community Finance Bureau as a
Federal Grants Underwriter. Joe graduated in 2000 from the University
of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S. in Economics. In 2006, Joe graduated
with high honors from Drake University. Joe served on the Drake Law
Review as a Notes Editor and is a member of the Order of the Coif. He
is also a member of the Polk County, Iowa State and American Bar
Associations. Joe was admitted to the Iowa bar in 2006.
